About McRae & Sons
Three generations of excellence
McRae & Sons was founded in 1957 by Don McRae, Sr., his wife Veta and their son Don, Jr. Currently, the company is operated by Don Jr.'s sons Ralph and Dan, and his nephew Sam.
Originally, the firm created paper-roll plugs for the large paper manufacturers in the area. Shortly thereafter, McRae & Sons approached Purdy Corporation about the possibility of manufacturing their brush handles, and this relationship was born.
Today, McRae & Sons manufactures upwards of 6.5 million wooden pieces per year from its 75,000 square-foot facility in Bay City, Oregon.
